Ayọ Akanbi, M.Div., RP, RMFT-S
Ayọ provides professional counselling for individuals, couples, and families, personalised to help attain their healing and personal growth. Through his training and practice, he has gained a great deal of experience and empathy for people who have faced psychological and emotional trauma. His approach is warm, engaging and non-judgmental, allowing him to offer feedback and practical tools to deliver timely results. He also offers specialised guidance for relationships where one or both partners are or have been engaged in high-stress, demanding careers or other difficult life circumstances.
With over 15 years’ experience as a pastor, Ayọ provides practical Christian based services and counselling for clients who are comfortable with or request biblical counselling. Both his ministry and counselling practices stem from a redemptive approach, giving the opportunity to draw upon spiritual resources to minister the grace and truth of God through the process of discovery and recovery (sanctification).
Ayọ is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO); and a certified member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). He is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist and an Approved Supervisor with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT).

Amanda Wadowski, M.Div., RP (Qualifying)
Amanda works within a safe and comfortable environment to build a trusting and respectful therapeutic relationship. She utilizes several therapeutic models to best help my clients including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, family systems, relationship counselling, person-centred, and psychodynamic techniques. Amanda specializes in couples therapy of every kind, family therapy (including blended and separated families), child and youth therapy, individual therapy including depression and anxiety, addiction, self-esteem, and motivational building. She believes in equality and truly feel that everyone is worthy of a satisfying and happy life.

Jin Choi, M.Div. (Cand.), RP (Qualifying)
Jin is an intern therapist who is completing her placement at Harmony Counselling Services. She has a holistic approach to therapy and walks alongside each client with a hope of flourishing psychologically, physically, and spiritually. Jin supports clients who are going through stressful life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and loneliness. She also addresses topics surrounding family, culture, interpersonal relationships, and faith (religion). In each session, she prioritizes that client feel heard, understood, and safe. Jin is fluent Korean language.
Style and Approach
Jin holds a holistic approach to therapy and uses integrative therapeutic modalities in her practice. She believes that the physical, mental, and spiritual all simultaneously contribute to the health of a person. She takes all three components into consideration during therapy. Jin believes that the intricacy of a person should reflect their treatment plan. Therefore, various therapeutic models are reviewed according to their effectiveness for the client.

Holly Kristensen, M.Sc., M.Div. (Cand.), RP (Qualifying)
Holly is an intern therapist who is completing her final year placement at Harmony Counselling Services. Her aim is to provide a safe and non-judgemental environment for you to share your story and to help you work through distressing issues.
Practicing from a trauma-informed and person-centered approach, Holly supports clients who are going through stressful life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, and loneliness. She addresses struggles surrounding family, work, relationships, and faith (religion). Holly also has experience working with young adults and students dealing with school-related anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, and learning disabilities.
Holly takes a collaborative and compassionate approach to treatment; She will work with you to navigate through your experiences to develop self-awareness, set attainable goals, and establish healthy coping strategies.
Holly’s experience also includes research and teaching in the field of psychology. She teaches courses in Intimate Relationships, Motivation and Emotion at Trent University. She uses her theoretical knowledge to provide helpful feedback and psychoeducation for clients.

Marian is a seasoned marketing communications professional, who brings her strategic thrust, project management experience and resourcefulness to her work. She is saddled with the responsibility of team management and implementing strategies to promote organizational growth and corporate objectives. As part of her portfolio before joining Harmony Counselling Services, she provided public relations support to several brands such as Google and CNN in Nigeria.
